From SEEK to Watkins Bay
I remember the first time I surfed the internet using Netscape. Even with a dial-up modem, I couldn't believe the potential the internet, and technology more broadly, had to disrupt industries.
Shortly after, I was fortunate to be part of the founding team of a genuinely successful start-up in SEEK. At SEEK it was clear that a sharp vision, the ability to execute, the support of other team members, access to great mentors and a group of committed people were the critical components of building a successful start-up. And, of course, the timing has to be right.
Over the 20-plus years since, I have founded and seeded several successful businesses across various sectors, in Australia and the USA, and have a passion for helping more. Those experiences are the basis of Watkins Bay: a specialised form of incubator, with a team built around it.
